KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Economic Development Department is releasing a utility assistance grant for small businesses that have struggled to pay water/sewer/solid waste utility fees since March 2020. The City has allocated $10,200 to this program and approved applicants will be provided with a one-time credit of $300 in utility relief assistance.
Any small business that has been late with a city utility (water/sewer/solid waste) payment at least one time since March 2020 is eligible for this assistance if it reaches all criteria:
· Brick-and-mortar business
· Located within a commercially zoned section of the City of Kingman
· Active City of Kingman business license
· Employees fewer than 50 employees

Completed applications can be submitted by email, mail, or in person at the Office of Tourism & Economic Development inside the Powerhouse Visitor Center at 120 W. Andy Devine Avenue.
This program beganFriday, February 5 and ends June 30, or when all funds have been depleted, whichever occurs first. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis and assistance can only be applied to utility accounts with the City of Kingman.
“The last year has been a real strain for business owners and their employees,” said Kingman Economic Development Director Gary Kellogg, “This is just another way that we’re hoping to provide help to our small businesses, the building blocks of our economic infrastructure.”
