KINGMAN – Culver’s of Kingman, AZ, recently received several prestigious awards at the Culver’s 2024 annual convention.
The restaurant was the recipient of the Ruth Award for consistently demonstrating superior hospitality. Kingman resident and Owner/Operator Gordon Streeter was presented these awards at a ceremony in Orlando, FL. The Ruth Award is a tribute to Ruth Culver, the chain’s co-founder and mentor in providing genuine guest hospitality.
Ruth’s Hospitality Award is considered a very high honor, as only one award is given in each region in the United States. Culver’s has over 900 restaurants in 26 states. Evaluations were made throughout the year, and are weighed against the same criteria for other Culver’s locations.
The Kingman Culver’s location was built in December 2020. These awards are a rare occurrence for an operator/owner of a relatively new restaurant location to win in just a little over three years!
Award History
The Ruth Award is a tribute to Ruth Culver, co-founder of the restaurant chain with its headquarters in Wisconsin. The first Culver’s© restaurant opened in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin. It was co-founded by Craig and Lea Culver with Craig’s parents, George and Ruth Culver. This prestigious award recognizes restaurants whose team members consistently exemplify superior hospitality each and every day. The Ruth Award recognizes the franchisees and True Blue Crew Members who commit themselves to having the most sincere and consistent level of hospitality towards their guests each and every day.
The restaurant also received the Silver Finalist Award for maintaining a high standard in restaurant operations, guest experiences, community relationships and team development.
The Kingman Culver’s is consistently a clean and friendly environment to enjoy tasty fresh-made entrees and delicious frozen custard.
As mentioned on www.culvers.com, “Our team members are always looking for opportunities to bring a smile to your day – because when you’re happy, we’re happy.” This is truly the case with this location. The team members provide some of the best customer service in the entire area as shown by anonymous customer reviews.
Team members have been given mentoring and advancement opportunities in achieving their goals to advance personally and professionally.
Another piece of the restaurant’s recognition was their dedication to supporting the community with Share Night events where a percentage of sales is donated to charitable causes related to the community including: Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council, Kingman Concert Band, Sanctuary of Western Arizona, and numerous Kingman schools extracurricular activities. Partnerships in the community also include: Kingman Girl Scouts, Elks Lodge, Arc of Mohave County, Pharoah’s Car Club, and All Starz Academy. Culver’s restaurants are independently owned and operated. Restaurant owners are dedicated to supporting the communities across the country that they call their home.
