Kingman Council approves P&Z matters

KINGMAN – Planning and Zoning recommendations were approved during the July 21 Kingman City Council meeting. Parcels roughly one and two-acres in size on the south corner of N Bank Street and Gordon Drive are rezoned from rural residential to commercial.

Owner applicants Gregory and Michael Seitz have indicated apartment complexes could be developed on the parcels. They are not bound by that initial plan, however, and are free to pursue other projects on the property.

The Council also approved a text amendment that changes days and operating hour allowances for any medical marijuana dispensaries within the city limits. They will be able to be open on Sundays, and they can operate from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., whereas closure by 6:00 p.m. was previously required.
