Kingman Area Food Bank wins Andy Organization of the Year Award

KINGMANThe Kingman Chamber of Commerce accepts nominations for people and agencies that provide outstanding services to the Kingman community throughout each year, and once a year selects individuals and businesses from those nominees for the Andy award. One of our volunteers, Elizabeth “Marcella” Jackson chose to nominate the Kingman Area Foodbank. Marcella is one of about 40 volunteers who are the backbone of the Foodbanks ability to distribute food to the needy. (last year we distributed over 1.4 million lbs. of food). As one of three finalists, we were then honored and humbled to be selected by the selection committee to be name the Andy Organization of the year, sponsored by Foothills Bank.  

Since 1978, in the spirit of Kingman hometown legend Andy Devine. The Andy Awards are the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual event recognizing individuals, businesses, and organizations in Kingman who make a significant contribution to the community. This year’s annual Andy Awards Dinner was held on September 21st, 2020 at Beale Celebrations.
