Kingman Area Food Bank announces hour changes

Creating special senior opportunities

KINGMAN Effective August 6, the Kingman Food Bank will alter its operating hours to include special hours for seniors, and early evening hours for those who cannot make our regular morning hours of 8 a.m. until noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. On Thursdays we will be open from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. for seniors only (age 60+ proof of age not required) and 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. for everyone.

The new Thursday evening hours, will permit those people that need food and work or have no transportation during weekdays to have an opportunity to get emergency food after work or when transportation may be available from others who work during the day. Children under 18 are not permitted in the Food Bank at this time. By having special seniors’ hours only on Thursday morning, and following CDC COVID 19 guidelines we will add an additional layer of safety for the most vulnerable members of our consumers. Everyone must wear a mask and if you don’t have one, the food bank has a limited number available. Social distancing is required and only nine people at a time are permitted into our waiting room and only one person at a time in the store.

For more information on these operating hour changes, please contact; Mark McGregor, Executive Director, Kingman Area Food Bank, 2930 E Butler Ave., 928-757-4165 or 928-716-4497, or by email at kfbexecutivedirector@suddenlinkmail.com.
