BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce and welcome Jo Elle Hurns as Executive Director. Jo Elle will be starting her new position on August 24.
After multiple months of interviewing by the Board of Directors Hiring committee, Jo Elle joins the BHC Chamber of Commerce with multiple years of Chamber and marketing experience in the TriState area. She started her TriState career in 1987, overseeing such events, in conjunction with the Laughlin Tourism Committee, as The World’s Longest Line Dance, off road races, professional rodeos, bull riding and the Laughlin River Run. This lead to eventually becoming the Executive Director of the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce in 1997. Some of her accomplishments in that role include involvement in the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Tails system and creator of the Community Achievement Awards. After 10 years, Jo Elle went to work for the Laughlin Town Managers office and assisted with Clark County’s economic development efforts. Most recently, Jo Elle has been in the Apache Junction area before returning to Bullhead City.
“I am looking forward to working with the Chamber’s Board of Directors, its more than 500 business members and regional stakeholders to further the mission to promote member businesses and enhance local success,” says Jo Elle of her new opportunity. “We all look forward to Jo Elle’s leadership and guidance on how to continue to serve our businesses and community as they deserve,” said Cindy Head, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
