It’s All Good: Three-day yoga festival

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The day after Thanksgiving can be a groggy one for sure. You can fight your way through crowded black Friday shopping sprees as a form of recuperating, or simply skip it all together.  It’s all good!  The three-day yoga retreat will be making a return in Lake Havasu this year at their annual It’s All Good Yoga Festival. The It’s All Good Yoga Festival will be on Friday through Sunday, Nov. 24 – 26at Nautical Beachfront Resort.

The Ben Hicks Yoga story began with owner Hicks, who was in search of a more viable lifestyle.

The yoga instructor struggled with his own physical health and back problems when a friend of Hicks suggested that their ashtanga yoga teacher could be the solution.  The instructor eventually would become the inspiration for Hick’s path to explore his own journey as an instructor.  Hicks returned to school where he studied Eastern style massage therapy, philosophy, and medicine.  He eventually went on to study naturopathic medicine and herbalism.

At this time, Hicks took his first yoga instruction class.  In 2009, Hicks earned his certification.  After six years of teaching, the previous resident of Lake Havasu moved back and opened Ben Hicks Yoga.  Today, the studio provides massage therapy, personal training, and much more.

By 2018, the All Good yoga festival was born.  This will be the sixth annual event for the It’s All Good three day retreat.  All ages are welcome with 90-minute yoga classes available.  The theme of this year’s retreat will be “honor.”  The retreat is designed to celebrate one’s full potential and stress-free lifestyle.

Although the event is free to the public, the studio will be accepting donations that will grant one free yoga class at the Hicks studio. You can reach out to Hicks studio by calling 928-680-6392.

Hicks created the retreat as a way to give back to his students and the community who have shown him much support over the years.  Hicks is mostly pleased with the bond and connections the event has created over time. “What I like most about the role I am currently in now is to see students and teachers take ownership of this yearly event. I now have 500 hours of training and over 13,000 hours of teaching experience. Personal growth never ends but I feel more comfortable in my practice today.” Learn more about Ben Hicks Yoga by visiting HOME | ben-hicks-yoga (benhicksyoga.com)
