Is it time to run and hide or live for God?

Dear Editor,

Colossians 1: 23-29: “If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister. Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill that up which is behind the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church. Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God, which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. Whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.”

We are living in uncertain times where our world seems to be falling apart. It’s gotten to the point that no one seemingly trusts the government, though we give them our money in the form of taxes, so they have the liberty to do what they want. These conditions which we are facing were prophesied in the Bible, so prepare yourself for the soon coming of the Antichrist who will set up his kingdom and rule the Earth for seven years until Christ comes back and sets up his own kingdom on Earth.

Meanwhile, people want to go off the grid and want to live independently wherever they can run and hide (don’t take your cellphones with you, they are tracking devices, and you can’t take the grocery stores or WalMarts with you).

But the idea is self-preservation without God. Do you really think you can hide from God? He who created you, and knows the very number of hairs on your head? Why don’t we quit kidding ourselves and come to the knowledge that God cares for us and wants to save your souls from eternal damnation in Hell.

Well, just because you don’t believe it doesn’t make it so.

So, what can we do to prepare ourselves from the coming destruction of planet Earth?

2 Thessalonians 1: 8-12: “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power. That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Our real hope is in Christ and not this world. How can you prepare for this?

Hebrews 11: 6: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Start believing in God and start believing that He will reward you for that. For more information of the plan of salvation, call (775) 764-7118.

The Apostles were asked in Acts 2: 37-39: “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles, ‘Men and brethren, what shall we do?’ Then Peter said unto them, ‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Is it time to run and hide, or is it time to be bold and courageous and live for God? I say it’s time to live for God, regardless of what happens to this world.

Consider this: Matthew 10: 32-39: “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on Earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”

It’s high time we made a choice. What will your choice be? Jesus Christ or the world?
