Iraq and WMDs

Dear Editor,

I know for an absolute fact there were WMDs in Iraq. Thousands of others in the military do as well but this issue gets little to no publicity. It’s been a government coverup since the war ended. Let me explain as follows. I have several friends who were over there and saw WMDs with their own eyes. Most of the WMDs were trucked out over to Syria where they are to this day. They saw this being done. I have a friend who was on a U.S. Naval ship when many WMDs were being sent to Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war. The reason for this coverup is because America provided about half of the WMDs and Russia the other half.

In about 2013 Newt Gingrich had a book-selling event in San Diego and I attended it. While I was there, keep in mind I had met Newt a few years prior and I also knew about three other republican politicians who were in attendance. We all got to talking and I came out and flat-out asked the question of why, the fact of WMDs was being covered up and why did republicans go along with the coverup. This was the answer from all of them.  It was agreed between democrats and republicans that both parties would agree to tell the story as if no WMDs were there because neither party wanted the American public to know America provided about half of the WMDs. They weren’t proud to admit it but they did.

Now let’s fast forward to one night in 2015 when Trump was making a run for the presidency. I was on FB and I ran across a post Trump had posted and in that post one of the issues he mentioned was “There were no WMDs in Iraq.” As near as I could tell there was about 1,500 comments and it appeared about 80% were from people in the military or had previously served and had been over there. The 80% were all making comments in favor of their support for Trump but they all made it clear to him by their comments that they knew for a fact there were WMDs and they had seen them for themselves. Even though I knew before seeing that post by Trump I was happy and amazed that most all of the comments were telling Trump about the fact of the WMDs. They were clear that he had to know better and they didn’t stop short of telling him the truth.

Yes, indeed,  WMDs were there. Period!
