Independence Day Activities in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – The City of Bullhead City is sharing the following information with the public to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day.

The City of Bullhead City Administrative offices, BATS buses, Senior Enrichment Center, and the Municipal Courts will be closed Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of the holiday.

Bullhead City parks will be open, and the City encourages everyone to attend the 4th of July Pool Party at Ken Fovargue Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The party will feature free open swim at the pool, free hot dogs while supplies last, water games, and raffles.

The City also encourages the public to view the fireworks show, Rockets over the River, presented by the Laughlin Tourism Commission at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from the parking lot across the river from the Colorado Belle, providing great viewing opportunities from Community Park, Laughlin resorts, and areas all around the north neighborhoods of Bullhead City. Highway 95 between 7th St and Airport Center Dr will be closed from 8:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to keep vehicle and pedestrian traffic out of the fallout area.

The City will charge a $25 parking fee to non-residents who attend Rotary Park today through Sunday. Residents of Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Needles, and Laughlin may obtain a $35 season parking pass from Community Park that will be honored at Rotary Park.

Entry to Rotary Park will be at Riverview Drive and Balboa Dr. The entrances to Rotary Park at Chaparral Dr, Lakeside Dr at Balboa Dr, and Riverview Dr at the parking lot between the softball tri-plex and north soccer fields will be gated off.

The City would like to remind everyone that summer activities can be hazardous. Those enjoying the water should always wear a life jacket, drink plenty of water, apply sunscreen, and keep a close eye on the weather.
