House fire destroys home; injures two

Two people suffered burn injuries in a Tuesday fire that destroyed a double wide mobile home in north Kingman. Personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District (NACFD) responded at 6:31 a.m. to the incident in the 2200 block of Northfield Avenue.

The structure was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene.

“Both occupants escaped the residence and were found outside by firefighters,” a news release stated. They were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Officials said crews knocked the fire down in 30 minutes and that extensive mop-up and overhaul operations were conducted. A specific estimate of the loss has not been calculated and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
