It’s widely apparent the predominant reason behind this “City Hall Crew” scurrying in many directions is to demonstrate and perform a charade of many activities which in the normal course of events should have occurred without hesitation. This election drops many facets of challenge to these incumbents.
For over two years now I made repeated written attempts attempting to encourage Kingman to hold a Town Hall Meeting. Every attempt was met with incredible resistance, playing down the effectiveness of such a gathering.
In light of the current election cycle upon us, suddenly “we the people” have been presented a scheme by which participants “would be selected” to participate, in groups, where a leader of each group would open conversation on “pre-selected” topics for evolving conversation. Additionally, an “registered” audience would be present, but not able to participate, confirmation this “show” possesses little sincerity.
What is being proposed has little resemblance to a Town Hall Meeting, and more closely resembles creation of a controlled environment without the exchange encouraged by open and public discussion.
“AI” defines a Town Hall Meeting as: “A town hall meeting is an open, public forum where officials, leaders, or candidates meet with community members or employees to discuss important issues, share information, and answer questions. These meetings foster transparent, two-way communication, allowing attendees to voice opinions directly to decision-makers.”
The residents of Kingman refuse to be “duped”, given the “fast shuffle”, or be handed “smoke and mirrors” any longer. Kingman residents have joined together creating a movement to repel deceptive behaviors and “same-ole, same ole” mentality, by uniting and causing truth to prevail.
Certainly, many will be looking forward to accounts, thoughts and opinions of those attending.
