Health issues may have been factor in fatal crash

BULLHEAD CITY – Health issues are a suspected factor as Bullhead City police investigate the death of a man in a traffic related incident. Initial crashes were reported about 10:00 am Friday, Sept. 20.

“Police responded to the 700 block of Morro Cove where it was reported a man collided with property in the 2200 block of Coronado Drive and then backed up and struck another property on Morro Drive,” said police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt. “Lifesaving efforts were initiated, and the driver was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.”

Fromelt said it appeared that the 67-year-old victim from Bullhead City suffered medical episodes that contributed to the initial crashes and another when attended on scene by emergency medical professionals. She said impairment is not a suspected factor in the death investigation.

Fromelt said the man’s name is withheld pending notification of kin.
