
KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is positioned to fill a vacant council slot and select its next city manager. 17 citizens submitted applications to be considered for appointment to the seat vacated by former council member Cameron Patt who stepped down due to employment-related relocation in Arizona.
Those interested in the post include Ronald (Ron) Jewett, Jed Noble, Pamela Horstmeyer, James (Jim) Dykens. Timothy Skipper, Dr. Wendy Reisinger, Larry Renfrow, Abelina (Abbie) Nazar, Cengiz Arik, Tingwei Chavez, Michael (Mike) Cobb, Christopher (Chris) Wertenberger, Aaron Ricca, Deborah Adler, Elliot Chalew, Brandon Laumeister and Frank Nieman.
Applicants will be interviewed and a selection/appointment could occur during a special city council meeting scheduled Wednesday, Oct. 11. The appointee would serve through late next year, with the other two years of Patt’s term to be filled through the course of the 2024 election cycle.
During its special meeting Thursday, the council conducted interviews and selected GOV HR USA to conduct its national recruitment for Kingman’s next city manager. Former manager Ron Foggin was fired on Aug. 15.
Grady Miller is providing interim leadership but has decided he will not be an applicant for the full-time manager’s job.
GOV HR is well established in the government administrator headhunting field.

Jacobs said she expects 30-40 people will apply for the job.
