Havasu Parks and Rec opens fall sports registration

Flag Football and Cheer

Are you ready for some flag football? Registration is now open for area youth, currently enrolled in first through sixth grades, for the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Flag Football and Cheer program. Cost is $52 per participant, which includes a t-shirt for football players or t-shirt and pompoms for cheerleaders. This program is a great way to learn key components of the game, develop skills, and play as a team in a safe and fun environment. All levels focus on player development, having fun and sportsmanship. Practice locations, days and times vary due to volunteer coaches’ availability. Season runs from September 23 through November 9. Games and practice times are determined after registration. Practice schedules are announced by September 20. Register in person at the Aquatic Center or online at https://register.lhcaz.gov. The deadline to register is Friday, September 6.

Tennis

Registration is now open for children, eight to 13 years, who want to sign up for tennis lessons. Tennis is a centuries old sport that remains very popular today. Lessons are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and run from September 3 through September 26. Participants must bring a tennis racket and wear tennis shoes to each lesson. Cost is $80 per participant. Register in person at the Aquatic Center or online at https://register.lhcaz.gov.
