Havasu Health Foundation to host fundraising concert

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Havasu Community Health Foundation will be hosting a concert with the well-known tunes of country music legend Patsy Cline. The Havasu Community Health Foundation provides many services for physical and mental health to the community.

The organization has regular programs for the public such as their heart society, food bank, low-cost lab screenings, and much more. This month, the foundation has created yet another unique event in support of their many health care goals.

In the early 1960s, singer Patsy Cline delighted audiences with her sultry vocals and melodic hits. The Walkin’ After Midnight show will feature Tony Award nominee Carter Calvert.

Calvert has been the opening act for big names in the music industry such as Chubby Checker and The Temptations. The vocalist has starred in the tour “Always Patsy Cline” where she stars opposite with Sally Struthers.

Calvert has received rave reviews for her portrayal as the lead role of Patsy. The singer captivated audiences with classic Cline hits like “She’s Got You, Crazy, and Walkin’ After Midnight.”

The Patsy Cline tribute concert will be on Thursday, January 11. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the London Bridge Resort. Tickets are $50 and all proceeds of ticket sales will help benefit the many programs of the Lake Havasu Community Health Foundation.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting Eventbrite.com.

Cline’s untimely death in 1963 was a tragedy to the music world however, the memories and legacy of Cline can still be heard in her music.
