Havasu celebrates parking lot improvements with ribbon cutting at London Bridge Beach

LAKE HAVASU — Lake Havasu City invites the public to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Thursday, July 31, at 9:00 a.m., celebrating the completion of the newly paved London Bridge Beach parking lot and the most recent of several parking lot upgrades completed across the city. The ribbon-cutting event takes place on the stage at London Bridge Beach, located on the Island off McCulloch Boulevard, and is led in partnership with the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

The London Bridge Beach project included the removal and full replacement of approximately 6,500 square yards of deteriorated asphalt, spanning from the dog park to Sir Peter Gadsden Street. Some of the work was completed by Lake Havasu City’s in-house Streets Maintenance talent within two months of City Council approval. The upgrades improve safety, accessibility, and traffic flow for visitors accessing the beach, playgrounds, courts, walking paths, and other amenities.

This project was part of a larger effort to improve public access and infrastructure at some of the city’s most active parks. A new overflow parking lot at Cypress Park was also completed, along with paving work at Jack Hardie Park, Pima Square, Dick Samp Park, and Avalon Park.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrates the successful completion of these key improvements and recognizes the dedication of City staff in delivering high-quality, cost-effective upgrades to public spaces across the community.
