Havasu caregiving agency will launch first Paying It Forward fundraiser

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Healthcare facility Alternate Solutions Homecare will be hosting their first Paying It Forward Elder Assistance fundraiser next week.  The caregiving agency provides in-home care for residents such as respite care along with daily life assistance like light housekeeping, medication reminders, and meal preparations.

Other tasks by certified caregivers is transportation to doctor’s appointments, errands, and shopping. Dressing, haircare, showers, and more are also included in the health center’s many services.  Aside from the physical duties of the role, caregivers offer a great deal of companionship for their clients.

Last year is when Alternate Solutions Homecare developed their nonprofit Pay it Forward for income eligible seniors and the disabled in need of caregivers, transportation, and financial classes.  The medical organization will be partnering up with Red Robin Restaurant to help them reach their goal.

For both dining in and takeout, customers must let the staff know about wanting to contribute to the elder assistance fundraiser.  Twenty percent of the bill will then go towards the charity.

The health staff agency is also accepting donations of gently used medical equipment during their business hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2182 McCulloch Boulevard North in Lake Havasu City.

The Paying It Forward fundraiser will be on Monday September 15 starting at 11am at Lake Havasu’s Red Robin restaurant located at 70 Swanson Avenue. Stop by and contribute to those in need and share your random acts of kindness.
