Havasu approves $195 million spending plan

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Tentative adoption of a $195-million budget occurred during the June 8 Lake Havasu City Council meeting. The spending plan can be adjusted but cannot be increased prior to final adoption expected June 22.

Mayor Cal Sheehy said the budget is fiscally responsible and funds the realm of services citizens expect. He also noted it holds the property tax levy in place, though it will generate more revenue due to increased assessment within the city limits.

The council also approved a five year Capital Project Improvement plan totaling almost $64-million. Council members were told all projects within the plan are funded.
