GVID future: Six apply for appointment

KINGMAN – Six citizens have applied for possible appointment should the Board of Supervisors vote next Monday to transition the Golden Valley Improvement District from a county governed entity to domestic administration.

Those who’ve applied for initial appointment to a domestic board whose members would be elected in the future include Brittany Bean, Jennifer Esposito, Danielle Ohle-Keck, Butch Meriweather, Stephen Tygard and Dennis German.

Supervisors must first decide if the board and county will continue running the GVID or if it will be transitioned to a citizen run district. If transition is the choice, supervisors would decide if the domestic board should consist of three or five members before selecting from the applicant field.
