GV man arrested for posting threats against demonstrators

GOLDEN VALLEY – A Golden Valley man admitted posting threats about shooting demonstrators, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Richard Bertram, 55, was arrested June 13 on felony and misdemeanor threat related charges.

“Deputies were notified of threats of violence posted by Bertram on social media,” Mortensen said. “The reporting party advised that the post showed an image of guns and ammunition with threats of shooting attendees of an upcoming planned protest.”

Mortensen said a records check revealed that Bertram is currently on probation for a weapons related offense. She said he was taken into custody at a residence in the 5100 block of Apache Road in Golden Valley, and was transported and booked into the Adult Detention Facility in Kingman.
