KINGMAN, Ariz. – The public is invited to attend the official groundbreaking celebration for the Kingman Route 66 Nature Trail on November 7 in the parking lot located at Third St. and Andy Devine Ave.
There will be a Hualapai ceremonial blessing of the earth, educational booths, education and vendor showcase at 3 p.m., followed by a community celebration featuring live music, food, and a beer garden at 5 p.m.
The Kingman Route 66 Nature Trail is a community-driven initiative fully funded by a generous grant from the Route 66 Association of Arizona and community-raised funds. Over 90 community members have registered to volunteer as Friends of the RT 66 Nature Trail for future planting and maintenance.
Bringing together native plant expertise and community spirit, our design team consists of local volunteer professionals working alongside Vision Landscaping, who will handle professional installation.
Establish an ethnobotanical walkway along Historic Route 66 to educate residents and visitors on native plants and their traditional uses.
This initiative represents a community collaboration brought to life by Kingman Main Street, the Hualapai Cultural Center, Golden Valley Botanicals, Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis, Cerbat Garden Club, and dedicated Friends of the RT 66 Nature Trail, in partnership with the City of Kingman.
