Golden Valley shooter suspect arrested

Larry Meyer

GOLDEN VALLEY – A Sept. 5 shooting in Golden Valley is under investigation by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Deputies were notified at 7:34 a.m. that a man with multiple gunshot wounds was being transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center, according to MCSO spokeswoman Anita Mortensen.

The victim was subsequently transported to a Las Vegas hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Deputies responded to the shooting scene in the 2500 block of Naco Rd. in an attempt to locate the suspect, identified as Larry Meyer, 42, Golden Valley.

“After learning that Meyer had fled the scene after the shooting, deputies and detectives responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Eloy Rd. and began giving commands for Meyer to come out of the residence,” Mortensen said. “Meyer was taken into custody without incident a short time later.”

Meyer reportedly admitted shooting the victim during an argument at the Naco property. He was jailed for attempted murder and other charges.
