Havasu students honored at Belmont, Maryland

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. –  Two students from Lake Havasu City were honored this year at two different universities at their respective commencement ceremonies.

Belmont University

Belmont University held its spring 2026 commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 in the Curb Event Center. As part of Belmont’s Class of 2026, Lauren Garrison of Lake Havasu City earned a Bachelor of Science in Motion Picture Production.

Across four ceremonies, the University collectively recognized more than 1,500 candidates among bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral candidates in its 2026 commencement proceedings.

University of Maryland Global Campus

During the 2025-26 academic year, University of Maryland Global Campus recognized Jack Warner of Lake Havasu City for service on the Student Insight Council. Volunteers play a vital role in shaping the UMGC experience by providing feedback that helps create a stronger future for the university community.
