Ft. Mohave man charged in wife’s shooting death

FT. MOHAVE – A Fort Mohave man has been arrested in the shooting death of his wife. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies responded just before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of E. Gran Circulo in Fort Mohave.

Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the body of the 49-year-old victim was found inside the home.

Angela Olejniczak was found to have multiple gunshot wounds and was declared deceased at the scene,” Mortensen said. She said officers made contact with 56-year-old Keven Olejniczak.

“A subsequent investigation by MCSO detectives revealed Keven to have shot Angela several times during an argument. Mr. Olejniczak was transported to Kingman and booked into the Adult Detention Center on a second-degree murder charge.

Local court records don’t show any criminal history for either Olejniczak. They were married in 2008.

The murder investigation continues.
