Friends of MC Animal Shelter to host Pirates for Paws at fairgrounds in Kingman

KINGMAN — Friends of the Mohave County Animal Shelter will be hosting a pirate-themed fundraising event at The Mohave County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17.

Tickets are $60, which includes dinner catered by Olympus Diner, featuring “Drunken Chicken” and Beef Kabobs served with Caribbean Rice and assorted vegetables. The meal also includes a salad with a creamy Greek vinaigrette, bread and dessert.

“Yappy Hour” begins at 5 p.m., featuring a cash bar that will have beer, wine and rum cocktails. Appetizers will be served before dinner as well.

The event will feature silent auction items and raffles. All monies raised will benefit the Mohave County Animal Shelter, which provides  lifesaving medical treatments for its shelter animals and to subsidize adoption fees so that our community including Veterans and Senior Citizens can afford to adopt a companion animal.

Tickets are available at the Mohave County Animal Shelter, located at 3423 N Burbank St in Kingman. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.friendsofmcas.org or by calling 928-716-4651.

The Mohave County Fairgrounds is located at 2600 Fairgrounds Blvd. in Kingman.
