Fort Mohave biker bar brawl defendant enters guilty plea

FORT MOHAVE — One of the dozen defendants arrested in a brutal biker brawl at the Roadhouse 95 Restaurant and Bar in Fort Mohave early this year entered a plea agreement Monday. Edward Hargrove, 37, of Bullhead City, pleaded guilty to a riot charge for the January 18 melee at the establishment in the 5100 block of Highway 95.

Terms of the deal require judge Derek Carlisle to place Hargrove on probation at a January 27 sentencing hearing. Hargrove previously spent about four months in custody and he’ll serve no further jail time under the agreement.

Deputy Mohave County attorney Rod Gilleo said Hargrove and four other men associated with the Pagans motorcycle club brawled with members of a rival motorcycle club. All participants had fled before law enforcement arrived on scene.

The five month-long, multiple agency “Operation Roadhouse Rumble’’ investigation led to the late June arrests of six suspects in Arizona, two each in California and North Dakota, while two others were already in custody.

A news release issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission indicated serious injuries occurred during the violent and chaotic bar fight.
