Firefighters stop fire from spreading past garage

No one was injured in an early Monday residential structure fire in Kingman. Public information officer Oscar Lopez said crews responded at 1:50 a.m. to the fire in the 800 block of Crestwood Lane.

“Personnel found the area of origin in the garage and proceeded to knock down the fire,” Lopez said. “Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control from the interior and kept it from spreading into other areas of the home and attic.”

Lopez said personnel from the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District assisted. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
