LAKE HAVASU CITY – One Lake Havasu City firefighter was hurt after responding to a residential structure fire on Saturday, Oct. 7. Crews were dispatched at about 3:38 p.m. after dispatch received multiple calls of black smoke and fire coming from a home in the 3000 block of Saratoga Ave.
“The first arriving fire company reported a working fire with smoke and flames coming from the roof of the residence,” a press release said. ?“There were no occupants at home at the time of the fire. Multiple pets were found and removed from the residence by fire crews.”
Personnel reportedly gained control of the fire in 47 minutes.
City officials said a firefighter was transported to the hospital for treatment of an unspecified injury. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
