Fentanyl arrests made following chase

BULLHEAD CITY – Three arrests are reported after local narcotics task force members received information that a group had transported illegal drugs from California to Bullhead City. Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said detectives identified those involved and attempted to pull over a suspect vehicle at about 8 p.m. on July 15.

Fromelt said the driver, Jonathan Ginns, 36, pulled away from police in the 300 block of Meander Drive at a high rate of speed. “The suspects were contacted at gun point and detained,” Fromelt said.

Ginns was jailed for unlawful flight and endangerment. His girlfriend, Amya Honold, 19, was arrested on a warrant issued from California and a dangerous drug charge for possessing nearly two grams of methamphetamine.

Follow up investigation led to the 200 block of Meander Drive where Sean Donaldson, 37, reportedly ran from a residence into the back yard, throwing plastic bags over a brick wall. “Police seized about 17,000 counterfeit “M-30” pills containing fentanyl.

Donaldson was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs for sale and tampering with physical evidence.
