Family recovering after crash

To my family and friends I want to thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers through this nightmare that we have been living for the past few days.

This past Sunday my sister and her family were driving home to North Carolina from our tia Julia’s funeral. Early Monday morning they were in a terrible accident. Normas husband was driving and fell asleep at the wheel this caused him to crash into a center divider and the car flipped multiple times. All 3 girls were ejected from the vehicle. The girls were in such critical condition that they were airlifted to hospitals in Las Vegas. My nieces were in one hospital and my sister in another. It has been such a hectic time going back and forth for us to spend time with all 3 girls. My sister Rosemary my dad and I left immediately after hearing about their accident so that we could be by their side.

My sister and her daughters are fighters! My sister was never in a coma. She did arrive to Vegas fighting for her life. She sustained bone fractures to her face and ribs. She also had a large cut on her head that took doctors many hours to stitch up. She was put on a breathing tube which was just removed today. She has been doing really good since its removal. She will be having surgery for the face fractures on Tuesday. Your prayers are very much appreciated. Richard will be staying in Las Vegas with Norma during her hospital stay.

My niece Bryana was released from the hospital yesterday. She has a broken collarbone, broken ribs and a broken sternum. She is recouperating amazingly! She will be staying with Rosemary in the meantime so that Rose can help her through her recovery.

My goddaughter Carmen is still in the hospital. She DOES have multiple fractures along her back, a fractured pelvic bone front and back and a broken sternum as well. She is such a strong girl and is doing so well! Today they put a back brace on her and she was able to walk a bit using a walker. The doctors and nurses are very impressed with her recovery and I truly believe she will continue recovering well. Once she is released we will go back for her so that she can also come stay with Rosemary until her mom is released and their family can be reunited.

Needless to say this GoFundMe was created with the good intention of helping my sister’s family since none of them will be able to work for some time while they recover from this tragedy. Any donation helps and if you cant donate please share. Thank you all so much!
