Fairgrounds operations begin transition

KINGMAN – Public Works Director Steve Latoski will detail the transition plan for bringing the Mohave County Fairgrounds operations in-house during the next Board of Supervisors meeting. Latoski will outline the sequence of tasks that will occur as the County ends its lease arrangement with the Fair Association at the end of the year.

County Manager Sam Elters is proposing use of up to $100,000 for a consultant to study the Fairgrounds. Recommendations will include where the facilities should be located in the future.

The Board will get an update on current animal shelter operations and Supervisors will consider allowing the Northern Arizona Fire District split proposal to proceed to the petition circulation and signature collection stage.
