Expect intermittent lane restrictions on State Route 66 through Peach Springs in Mohave County Sept 28 – 29

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Peach Springs area motorists to plan for upcoming delays of up to 20 minutes on State Route 66 between Administration Road and the Grand Canyon Caverns (mileposts 104 to 115). ADOT reminds drivers to use caution around construction personnel and equipment, slow down and be prepared to merge into the open travel lane while the following restrictions are in place: Intermittent east- and westbound lane closures from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, and Tuesday, Sept. 29. A pilot car and flaggers will be assisting with traffic control. The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone. The lane closures are needed to enable maintenance crews to apply a pavement flush to the road, which is designed to preserve and protect the roadway.
