Esteemed local judge dies

This framed image of the Honorable Leonard “Bill” Langford hangs on a wall next to other members of the Mohave County bench on the first floor of the Law and Justice Center in Kingman.

Former Mohave County Superior Court Judge Leonard “Bill’’ Langford has died. His wife Anita confirmed that Langford died June 27 in nearby Henderson, Nevada, succumbing to a pre-leukemia health challenge.

Langford served as Mohave County attorney for 5.5 years before a 24-year run as a Superior Court Judge. He stepped down from the bench in 1998.

Services are pending.
