Election night tally to be posted once next Tuesday

MOHAVE COUNTY – Interested citizens need not stay up late looking for updates as the Mohave County Elections Department will post unofficial returns early, and just once, on Election Night, Tuesday, Nov. 5. The single post occurs because a unique tabulation process will be used in the all-mail elections the county is conducting for Bullhead City and the Kingman Unified School District.

Returns are typically posted and updated a number of times for traditional elections conducted with use of polling places and early balloting. Mohave County Elections Director Allen Tempert said conducting these elections by mail, however, will result in a single Election Night post shortly after 7:00 p.m. next Tuesday.

“After that we’ll be working on the ballots that were dropped off on Election Day at the ballot replacement centers,” Tempert said. “I expect to have all of that buttoned up by the beginning of the following week.

Tempert said he hopes to post final, unofficial election tallies by Nov. 12 or 13. Voting results remain unofficial pending election canvas.
