Dump truck strikes Bullhead City power line, causes outage

BULLHEAD CITY — On Thursday, November 6 at 8:12 a.m., 255 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members in Bullhead City experienced an outage. A dump truck struck and tore down a power line on Friendly Place.

Crews isolated the damaged lines and replaced a fuse, restoring power to 251 of the 255 members at 9:10 a.m. The additional four members’ power was restored at 9:42 a.m.
