Drop-Off Recycling Center to open on October 2 in Kingman

City council

KINGMAN — The City of Kingman would like to alert residents that the City’s Drop-Off Recycling Center will officially open on Thursday, October 2.  Residents of Kingman and Mohave County will be able to bring their recyclables to the City’s Public Works Facility at 3700 East Andy Devine Avenue, next to the fuel island. The recycling center will be open Thursday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The fee to recycle will be $7.53 per vehicle, per trip, and trailers will not be permitted. Payment will be taken at the recycling center.  At this time, cash and check are the only acceptable payment methods but credit card payments will begin being accepted the week of October 6th.

Accepted materials include:

  • Cardboard (no wax-coated items such as milk cartons or disposable cups)
  • Aluminum or tin cans
  • All colored glass (please remove lids)
  • Plastic Type 1 (water/soda bottles with lids removed)
  • Plastic Type 2 (milk jugs, detergent bottles with lids removed)

This drop-off program is designed to make recycling easier by providing a single location where residents can bring common household recyclables.
