Decade proposed for sex offender

Joshua Allen

KINGMAN – A 10-year prison term is mandated in a plea agreement proposed for a man who admits having sexual relations with underage minors in two Mohave County communities. The plea deal entered July 12 convicts Joshua Allen, 26, of two counts reduced to attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

The plea bargain dismisses six counts of sexual conduct with a minor, child molestation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Detailing the counts to which Allen will be convicted if Judge Billy Sipe approves the plea proposal, Deputy Mohave County Attorney Amanda Claerhout said Allen had sexual intercourse in Dolan Springs with a girl who was 11 or 12 years old at the time in Oct., 2023.

Claerhout said Allen also had sex with another 15-year-old girl in Kingman in Feb.

Judge Sipe is required to send the defendant to prison for a decade should he accept punishment limitation and approve the case resolution at an Aug. 12 sentencing hearing. If so, Allen would also serve probation and abide by sex offender registration protocols for life.
