Deadly Goldrush Road fire is under investigation in Bullhead

BULLHEAD CITY — A deadly fire is under investigation in Bullhead City. Firefighters responded at about 12:38 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 to the incident at 1515 Goldrush Road.

“First responders encountered heavy smoke and active flames involving multiple recreation vehicles (RVs), a Bullhead City Fire Department news release said. “A total of three RVs were destroyed, along with two vehicles. Four additional nearby units sustained heat damage.”

The fire department reported that one male suffering from smoke inhalation was transported for treatment at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.

“Tragically, an elderly male was discovered deceased inside” one of the RVs, according to the fire department. The name of the victim is initially withheld.

Assistance was requested of the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
