CYNTHIA JUNE BUCKLEY

Cynthia June (Essary) Buckley was born in Memphis, Tennessee on June 11, 1957. She passed away on December 27, 2021 in Flagstaff, AZ. She spent her childhood and adult life in Arizona where she raised her five children: Adam, Wayne, Jeremy, Carlaina, and Colt.

She found peace and companionship in her second husband, Carl Buckley. She was eager to blend their families, and they were overjoyed to welcome two children (Carlaina & Colt) before Carl’s death in 2005.

While she awaited the time they would be reunited, she found love and support in her long-term partner, Richard Runner (2020). They shared many golden years together, and happily shared in the joys of blended families before Richard’s death in 2020.

Cynthia found great joy in her children and many grandchildren. Their joys and accomplishments were a point of pride for her, and she shared in their successes and failures throughout the duration of her life.

Cynthia had a love for the ocean, her family, and was always the last one to leave a party. She enjoyed collecting treasures and knick-knacks that reminded her of happy times. She always intended to pass them down to her children and grandchildren.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Reburn and Bonnie Essary; Carl Buckley; Richard Runner; and her ex-husband and father to her three oldest children, Donald.

She is survived by her sisters, Rhonda (John) Burris and Debbie Cox, as well as her children, Adam (Janeille), Wayne (Melissa), Jeremy (Shealyn), Carlaina (Michael) and Colt (Kelsey). She also had numerous grandchildren: Drew, Dawson, Dylan, Brett, Brady, Jaggar, Kendrick (Morgan), Alyssa, Bryndon, Avery, Angellisa, Chevelle, Macayla, Paisley, Priscilla, Cynthia, Cash, Caryssa, Carter, and Colby.

Her generous spirit and fun-loving personality will be greatly missed. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her many departed loved ones.
