COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 8 new cases today; all in Kingman area

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 8 confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Mohave County and two COVID-19 related deaths. All of them are in the Kingman service area.

The two deaths are both previously identified Kingman area cases and are linkedto another confirmed case.  One person is in the 55-64 year age range and the other is 65 to 74 in age.

Of the 8 new Kingman area positive cases, three have an investigation still pending and are in isolation, recovering at home. One person is in the 20-44 year age range and the other two are 55-64.

Of the remaining five cases, four of them are in the 20-44 year age range and the remaining one is 55-64.  All of these five cases are in isolation, recovering at home and are linked to another case.

There are now 50 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including four deaths, 168 in Kingman, with a total of 22 deaths there, 7 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other”(composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,)  and 19 in Bullhead City, including one death.  There are a total of — 27 deaths in the county from the disease. Total positive cases: 244.
