MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Thursday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 19 new COVID-19 confirmed cases, including one death. The death is a 60-69 year age range, previously reported case in the Kingman service area.
Of the 19 new cases, 11 of them are in the Lake Havasu City service area. Three of those are hospitalized and linked to another confirmed case; two of those are 90+ and the other is 80-89.
Three of the Lake Havasu area cases are recovering at home and linked to another case; one is 19-29, one is 40-49 and one is 50-59. One Lake Havasu area case is recovering at home and is not linked to another case. Finally, of the 11 Lake Havasu City area cases, four are still under investigation: one is 30-39, two are 40-49, and one is 60-69.
Seven of the new confirmed cases are in the Bullhead City area. Four of these cases are under investigation; one is 30-39, one is 40-49, one is 50-59, and one is 60-69. One 80-89 year age range person in the Bullhead City service area is hospitalized. One BHC individual is 60-69, recovering at home and is linked to another case. The 7th and final Bullhead City area case is 40-49, is recovering at home and is not linked to another confirmed case.
The final of the new 19 confirmed cases is a 30-39 year age range person who is recovering at home and is not linked to another confirmed case.
There are now 88 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including 9 deaths, 227 in Kingman, with a total of 33 deaths there, and 8 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other”(composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,) and 117 in Bullhead City, including six deaths. There are now a total of — 48 deaths in the county from the disease. Total positive cases –440.
***PLEASE NOTE: Periodically, Mohave County Department of Public Health staff review case information for accuracy and completeness. As a result of a recent review, the case count and respective demographic data will be adjusted slightly to show accurate data. There are a number of reasons for the adjustment, including the removal of cases that did not have a permanent address in Mohave County, reconciliation of cases reported twice or not originally reported, and removal of probable cases.
To summarize the adjustment: Kingman has two less cases and Bullhead City has two additional cases.***
