  1. In light of 6 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Mohave County, I think that the arts community needs to join everyone else, i.e. restaurants, hospitals, etc. to cancel or postpone the Kingman Center for the Arts’ Community Art Show at the ArtHub. This event will bring people into close contact, thus having the possibility of spreading the virus. All residents of Mohave County, Arizona, and the nation find themselves in this quagmire of self-imposed quarantine and distancing from populations in hopes that we can stop the spread of the virus within a couple months. Yes, it is inconvenient and financially disruptive, but all-to-necessary, according to CDC and other medical officials. These 6 confirmed cases in Mohave County could easily become 600 or 6,000 within days if we do not practice some restraint in social gatherings. As an artist and craftsman, my wish it to continue practicing my artfulness, creating works of art that are functional for everyday use and hoping there is an outlet remaining to purchase my products.
