Clean City, Planning & Zoning, Transit Advisory Commissions see turnover

KINGMAN – The Kingman City Council at their Dec. 17 meeting addressed filling vacancies for the Clean City, Planning & Zoning, PARG, and Transit Advisory Commissions.

Mike Blair was appointed to a seat on the Historic Preservation Commission. The commission currently has a second seat that remains vacant.

Clean City Commissioners C. Russell, Kathy Bowman and Na’qui “Nikki” c’Way’ya, were each reappointed for new terms. Regina Garcia submitted her resignation from the commission; Teresa Woods was appointed in Garcia’s place.

Two Planning and Zoning Commissioners Laurie DeVries and Vickie Kiress are at the end of their terms with neither seeking reappointment. There were four applicants to fill the two open seats: Marlin Christopher Cox, Mark S. Nelson, Jason Marino, and Jed Noble. Cox and Noble were appointed to fill the vacancies.

Parks, Aquatics, Recreation, and Golf (PARG) Commissioner Otis “Lee” Holloway was reappointed to serve a second term.

Lastly, Transit Advisory Commission Chairperson Dr. Fred Gilbert was reappointed for a third term.

Commissioner Cere Tabbert did not express a desire for reappointment, leaving one vacant seat in the Transit Advisory Commission.
