City of Kingman to install new stop bars on residential streets near Airway Avenue

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Street Division will be installing new stop bars on residential streets off of Airway Avenue beginning Monday, July 28 through Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Work will take place in the early morning hours from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to avoid peak heat conditions and ensure proper application of pavement markings.

Stop bars, also known as stop lines, are thick white lines painted across the road at intersections, indicating where vehicles should come to a complete stop. These markings improve safety for drivers and pedestrians by providing clear visual guidance at stop signs and traffic signals.

This project is part of the City’s continued effort to enhance roadway safety and visibility in residential neighborhoods. Minor traffic disruptions may occur, and drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through active work zones.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as our crews complete this important safety enhancement.

For questions or more information, please contact the City of Kingman’s Street Division at (928) 757-7467.
