City of Kingman removes more 300-gallon trash bins

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Solid Waste Department (KSWD) has begun the next phase of removing the 300-gallon shared containers from alleys and streets giving each customer their own 90-gallon container to be placed at the front of their homes.

There will be no additional charge for having an individual container instead of a shared one in the alley. For those customers getting a replacement container, trash pick-up days will remain the same. This project will be completed in multiple phases over the next couple years.

For questions, call Solid Waste Superintendent Ed Tapia at 928-692-3102.

KSWD shares these tips to ensure your container gets picked up:

  • Place it curbside at the street by 6:00 A.M. the day of pick up.
  • Keep it six feet away from parked vehicles, gas meters, and mail boxes.
  • Container lids should be kept closed. Do not overfill it.
  • Bulk trash pickups are available for larger items that you want to dispose of. To schedule a bulk trash pickup, please call 928-692-3115.
