City of Kingman Completes Work on the White Cliffs Trail System South Trailhead

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman is inviting the public to join them for a ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4th at the newly completed White Cliffs Trail System South Trailhead. The ribbon cutting will take place at the South Trailhead (downtown) located at 711 N. 4th Street, behind the Mohave County Courthouse.

This project was made possible through a partnership between the City of Kingman and the Arizona State Parks Board. The White Cliffs Trail System links downtown to uptown through 240 acres of the beautiful White Cliffs area. (map attached shows the White Cliffs Trail System).

Mike Meersman, Director of Parks and Recreation, acknowledged the continued support of the City Council in making the project possible. The Council prioritized providing quality of life to the community through Parks and Trails. He also thanked the Colorado River Area Trail Alliance team and the Arizona State Parks Board for their support and financial contributions. Meersman gave kudos to his team for their hard work in bringing the project to life. The expansion of the trail system offers beautiful views of the city, attracting not only locals but also people from the region.

There will be limited parking at the trailhead, so staff will be providing shuttle service starting at 9:15 a.m. from the additional parking areas located at Palo Christi School and the City Complex. A quick hike with Mr. Meersman will follow the ceremony.
