City of Kingman Accepting Applications for Clean City Commission

City council

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is currently accepting applications to fill an opening on the City of Kingman Clean City Commission. The appointment will serve a partial term lasting through December 2026, with applications due by October 23, 2025.  Applications will be reviewed and selected by the Kingman City Council during their first meeting in November.

The Clean City Commission was created by the City of Kingman to recommend policies to the Mayor and Council that support volunteerism, education, litter prevention, and beautification. The Commission’s mission is to promote community pride and civic beautification by educating residents and organizing clean-up and beautification efforts across the city.  The Commission leads programs such as Adopt-a-Block, where individuals, families, or organizations can take responsibility for keeping a section of street clean, and the Community Recognition Program, which allows residents to nominate homes and businesses that have improved the appearance of their property through landscaping or building enhancements.

The Commission meets quarterly on the 3rd Thursday in January, April, July, and October at 5:00 p.m. Community members appointed to serve are expected to attend these meetings and participate actively in discussions and decision-making.

Applications may be submitted online at https://serve.cityofkingman.gov or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at (928) 753-8102.
