Duane served in the United States Air Force for four years and was stationed at Ellington AF base. Maria Elena McEuen (Carr) was born on October 25, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida to James and Loretta Carr. As one of eight children, Maria was a spunky and mischievous child who enjoyed playing outside. She graduated from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
