Gary Victor Muir passed away June 30, 2021 in Kingman, Arizona. He was born in Palo Alto, California 73 years ago. He was the son of Ray and Esther Muir. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan of Chloride, Ariz.; his son Kevin Muir of Hawaii; and stepson David Miranda of California. Gary is also survived by three granddaughters Camilla and Marie Muir of Hawaii and Isabella Miranda of California; and one grandson Willie Miranda of West Virginia. KINGMAN – On Monday, Mohave County’s three legislators updated the Kingman Republican Women on the results of the 55th Arizona Legislative session. Senator Borrelli (R) displayed a sample of a new ballot that is virtually impossible to counterfeit. The ballot features special paper with a hologram, a QR Code, and a copper infused image of the State of Arizona which can be scanned and if it doesn’t beep it is suspect. OATMAN – Two write-in candidates have unseated incumbents in a special recall election in the Oatman Fire District. Results from Tuesday’s balloting remain unofficial pending canvas. A Mohave County Elections Department post indicates challenger Darin Lowrey knocked off board chairman James Tobin 25-4. Challenger Ronnie Walker beat Board Clerk Mike Gonzales 24-0. KINGMAN -The Kingman City Council has approved manager Ron Foggin’s request to send a letter of support to Arizona’s Congressional delegation in support of an initiative to designate Route 66 as an Historic Trail.
